Luna is a privately owned care provider dedicated to giving children and young people the stability, care and support they need to thrive. Across the East of England, our small, purpose-designed homes, fostering service and learning resource provide therapeutic, trauma-informed care and support to children aged 7–17 with learning difficulties and disabilities, autism, who are neurodiverse or have emotional and behavioural needs. .
We believe every child deserves a place where they feel safe, valued and understood close to the people and communities that are important to them. At Luna, we create nurturing homes and services built around consistent relationships, individual needs and genuine belonging — giving children the support and confidence to grow and look towards a brighter future.

Each Luna home is purpose-built and thoughtfully designed to feel like home, with spacious en-suite bedrooms, modern kitchens, comfortable living spaces and private gardens.

Why Choose Luna?
Luna provides small, nurturing homes for a maximum of two children, allowing us to deliver highly individualised care and build meaningful, trusting relationships. Guided by the PACE approach, we support each child’s emotional wellbeing, development and individual needs.
Our homes are designed to be safe, comfortable and genuinely homely. Working closely with families, social workers, education providers and healthcare professionals, we provide consistent, joined-up care focused on helping every child feel secure, thrive and achieve positive outcomes.
Our Leadership Team
Luna is led by a highly experienced team of professionals who are passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people. They have many years experience commissioning, setting up and delivering services for children across the region and their strong reputation and trusting relationships with commissioners and wider stakeholders mean that every service that is set up is needed locally.
Rachel Leslie
Director
Rachel has worked for the last 25 years with children and young people in a range of roles for local authorities, charitable and private organisations, leading teams to deliver exceptional services for children and young people. She is particularly passionate about improving long term outcomes for care experienced young people and outside of this role leads a national programme for disabled care leavers, working alongside the Department for Education and national stakeholders including CQC and Ofsted. She has written articles and taken part in a Social Work podcasts alongside care experienced young people as she believes that it is their voice and experience that will create real change.
Rachel is a qualified Social Worker and has a Masters in Social Work, a Masters in Business Administration and a Level 7 in Leadership and Management.
Business Manager
Jenny Collyer
Jenny is an experienced Business Manager with over six years in the social care sector, working closely with care Directors and senior leadership teams to support service delivery, operational excellence, and strategic objectives. Jenny is qualified in Project Management and Strategic Support, with expertise in stakeholder engagement, project coordination, performance management, and organisational improvement. She is passionate about driving positive change and delivering effective, people-focused solutions.
Dan Lummis
Responsible Individual
Dan has been working in Children’s Residential care for the last 6 years and throughout that time has been a Responsible Individual holding Head of Service and Assistant Director roles. All of the homes that Dan has managed have been graded as Good or Outstanding with Ofsted. The time working in residential care has mainly been disability focused but as part of the senior leadership team has been involved in residential care, intensive services and fostering.
Dan has worked in senior management roles across the private, public and charitable sector and brings this experience into his role with Luna. Dan has a real passion for supporting young people and is excited to part of their future growth.
Homes Manager
Joke Ivens
With over two decades of dedicated experience in residential childcare, Joke brings a wealth of knowledge and steadfast commitment to our team. Throughout her career, she has progressed through numerous vital roles within children’s homes, starting as a Learning Support Worker and advancing to Senior Support Worker, Deputy Manager, and ultimately serving as a Home Manager since 2021.
Joke is a highly adaptable leader with experience managing diverse environments, including dual-managed homes and specialized settings for learning disabilities. She holds a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, as well as a degree in Social Pedagogy earned in her native Belgium. At the core of her leadership is a deep-seated passion for creating safe, nurturing, and empowering environments where both young people and the staff who support them can truly thrive.
