Are you an ambitious Social Work qualified Manager looking for an opportunity to shape a service from the ground up, bringing innovative ideas and forward-thinking ways of working to create foster placements that provide stability, enduring relationships and outstanding outcomes for children?
Luna is looking to recruit a Fostering Manager. Working Across the East of England alongside our Director who is an experienced Agency Decision Maker. You will lead a team of Supervising Social Workers you will be responsible for all aspects of running a high-quality fostering service. You will benefit from sister services including Luna Learning and children’s homes where our high-quality services supporting local children are already having an impact.

Fostering Manager – the role:
You will lead your team to deliver:
Recruitment, assessment and approval of foster carers.
Supervision, training and development of foster carers and staff.
Safeguarding, compliance, quality assurance and inspection readiness.
Placement matching, stability and outcomes.
Development of our short-break, sitting and peer-support, mockingbird style offer.
The growth and financial performance of the service.
What you will bring:
Significant fostering management experience.
Strong knowledge of fostering regulations and safeguarding.
Experience of recruiting, assessing and supporting foster carers.
Excellent leadership and outstanding communication skills.
Experience of working with children with complex and diverse needs.
A strong understanding of trauma, attachment and therapeutic practice.
The ambition, resilience and creativity to build a new service.

Qualifications Required
Essential:
Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
Significant senior management experience within fostering.
Strong knowledge of fostering legislation, regulation, safeguarding and quality standards.
Evidence of continuing professional development.
Desirable:
Relevant management or post-qualifying qualification.
Therapeutic, trauma or attachment-based qualification
