Are you an experienced Registered Manager looking for an opportunity to shape and lead a new multi-building children’s home in Cambridge?
This is not about taking over an established service. You will help us build it.

Registered Manager - the role:
You will:
Build a home where children feel safe, valued, heard and that they truly belong.
Recruit and lead a skilled, compassionate team grounded in trust, accountability and high expectations.
Champion trauma-informed and PACE-informed approaches throughout the home.
Take responsibility for safeguarding, quality, performance and regulatory compliance.
Ensure the home is consistently ready for inspection and delivers the highest standards of care.
Support each child’s education, health, relationships, identity and ambitions for the future.
Build strong and respectful relationships with families, social workers, commissioners and other professional partners.
Coach and develop your team through effective supervision, support and constructive challenge.
Manage the home’s resources, occupancy and financial performance responsibly.
Play an important part in shaping the continued growth of Luna Children’s Services.
What you will bring:
Significant leadership experience within residential childcare or a closely related setting.
A strong track record of recruiting, leading and developing effective teams.
A thorough understanding of safeguarding and trauma-informed practice.
Working knowledge of the regulations, quality standards and inspection framework governing children’s homes.
Experience of managing quality, performance, risk and continuous improvement.
The ability to build trusted relationships with children, families, colleagues and professional partners.
Resilience, creativity and sound judgement in complex and demanding situations.
A relevant management qualification, such as the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or a commitment to complete the required qualification.
The experience and suitability needed to register with Ofsted as the home’s Registered Manager.

Qualifications Required
Essential:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England), or equivalent, or willingness and eligibility to work towards this in line with regulatory requirements
Desirable:
Social Work, Teaching, therapeutic-care or additional leadership qualification.
